Hmmm, very large possibilities of answer...
Well first of all I guess it all depends on what you want to do.

Do you want to work with thread or with pearls... And on what fabric.

Let me tell you the little I know.

Pearls: You reaaaaly need embroidery needles for pearls. They have have a tiny, little needle-eye, perfect for passing through the smalled seed beeds. Because seed beeds are so small you can not get them one by one on the needle, I use a pot and put all my beads inside and just go through with my needle. That way you work easier and have more beads on the needle.

Thread: From what I have allready done, you need a big round needle. The fabric for this kind of work mostly have ''big holes'' so you work easier with a big needle.

If you have more questions, I am sure someone is more experienced then me can answer your questions. Or try me (Where is the ''nerdy''-smiley again?)
