I'm really excited to have found
Dolly Donations and thought I'd share it with all you sewing guys/gals. Using a very simple pattern (improvisation is welcome) provided by Sarah on her site, volunteers sew dolls that are collected and sent to Haitian orphanages for the young children there. These would also make cute dolls you could make for your family/friends (no resale, of course). I've set myself the modest goal of sewing at least 1 doll a month (so I'll have at least 6 dolls to send) for this drive and am really excited to already have all the supplies I'll need to make them.
