I wasn't sure if this should be in General, Off Topic or in here... I hope everyone finds this thread!!!
My daughter's 12th birthday is coming up and we are planning to do a Wonka theme for her party. I need ideas for activities. Especially if they are activities that the kids can have something to bring home. We have decided that the invitations will be golden tickets. And there will be lots of candy. I bought a bag of Wonka candy at Halloween and saved it for this. I was thinking of having the kids make chocolate lollipops as an activity, but now I am wondering if that will just result in a giant mess.....
I'm going to have the kids sign a big contract when they come in.
They will enter through a curtain of streamers.
Beanbag tosses are always a big hit at my kids' parties (and the bean bags end up being a party favour) but I can't think of what the bags should be and what they should be tossed into.
I was thinking of some version of pin the tail on the donkey, but again, I am at a loss.....
I might get a friend to draw an oompa-loompa onto a piece of bristol board and cut the face out and have the kids poke their faces through and take a picture. I'd use this photo as the thank you. Or I might take a picture with the DSi like that (the quality wouldn't be as good, but it would be easier!)
The party will be mid-afternoon, so the only food will be a little bit of treats and cake.
Does anyone else have any ideas? "Hot potato" games are no fun for this group anymore. Everyone will be 10-13. I don't really do prizes, but I think I'll get a few (like two per kid) mini chocolate bars and make Wonka/party labels and use them as prizes. Maybe. Somehow, each child will "win" two.
Thanks for your help
