Thanks Lee. The kids have picked a lot of it off now, so it's almost unrecognizable.

Wow! I'm still awestruck by all the candies on the table in the first batch of pictures!
Yes, there's a lot of extra candy left.

To get rid of the some of it a little faster, we're inviting the following neighbors and friends over to help eat it: Mike & Ike, the Sour Patch Kids, Mary Janes, Baby Ruth, Oh Henry, Peppermint Patty, Jordan Almonds, the Jolly Ranchers, Clark Bar, Sugar Daddy and Sugar Mama with their Sugar Baby, Heath Bar, Cracker Jack, Andes Mints, Mr. Goodbar, the Long Boys and the Nerds.

Here's what we're serving:

Breakfast-

Toast with Butter mints and Jelly beans
Biscuits with a Bit-O-Honey on them

Lunch will be a buffet -

Meat -
Swedish Fish
Squirrel nut chocolate caramels
Hot Dog gum on a Bun Bar

Vegetables -
Corn Nuts
Boston Baked Beans
Candy Corn

Fruits -
Cherry Slices
Lemon heads
Orange Slices
Peach Buds
Cherry Drops

Drinks -
Milk y Way
Beer nuts
Tea berry gum
Salt Water taffy
Root Beer barrels
Smoothie
Milkshake candy bar

*No bottles, cans or glasses needed. We'll be drinking out of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

Desserts -
Moon Pies
Scooter Pies
Banana Splits

Providing the entertainment will be a group of Gummi Bears doing Twix and performing some Slap Stix comedy. We'll also have a few Chuckles and Snickers watching the Turtle's throwing Atomic Fire Balls at the Runts and Slo Pokes.

Beware of the Cry Baby Extra Sour Gum who picks his nose, Flicks green Goobers at Oompahs and fills his diaper with Goo Goo Clusters and Hershey squirts.

Directions: Take 5th Avenue to Broadway Rolls. Turn right on Rocky Road and pay two Golden Chocolate Coins to go over the Tollhouse chocolate chips Bridge mix. On your left you'll see Candy Cane lane. We're the third ginger bread house on the right.

I am a bit surprised there is anything left at this point.

I'm embarrassed to say, I started it about 3:00 in the morning probably Jan. 1st or 2nd. The "this-is-silly-don't-do-it" filter in my brain doesn't work as well when I'm that tired, so it seemed like a good idea at the time.

When I found it this morning, I edited it a little bit and posted it.

Sorry you have to put up with my insanity. lol

Good one on 'The Sugar Buffet' invitation, Barb! Think I'd be  if I ate all that! And congrats for providing so many kids with a fun project. Made one of these many moons ago with my gals from scratch. Would take eons to locate pics, but when I do, I'll try to post them. By the time I got the icing to the right consistency to keep the walls & roof from caving in, it was finally completed in approx. a week!!! Done a piece of cardboard about 11x14 & covered with foil. A precious memory.Thanx!

Thanks Lali. It would be fun to make one from scratch. I thought about it a few years ago, but I can't imagine that the pieces would all be the right size once they've baked. I should try it anyway.

If you find those pictures, we'd love to see them.

Barb, it is okay if the pieces don't bake up perfect. Imperfections can be hidden with icing and candy!!!! It adds to their charm.
I used to make them from scratch all the time.
