So here he is. I have him in my livingroom. He actually stays up all year. The rest of my nutcrackers just seem too Christmasy.

I'm not sure how I'm going to impose him into my cards, but he will be the main subject.

My daughter has a camera and whenever there are family get-togethers, both she and my son take pictures so I don't feel it's necessary to have one. If I got one it would only be for my crafting. What I sometimes do, if the item I want to take a picture of is small, I actually scan it in my scanner.

You sound like me with a cell phone Rose. I take it with me, but I "rarely" use it.

I'm one to talk. I've had this camera since 2002. But, it still works!

I love nutcrackers! I got my first one when I was 5 years old and I specifically asked for it from Santa Clause.

I've never made one on my own, but I did repair one that my Mom found for a good price. His hands were missing, but I was able to replace them with a couple of wooden knobs painted white (as if they were his gloves).

I've seen the plain ones where you can decorate it yourself. I just might have to give in and buy one this year.

Our favorite nutcracker is our Viking. My husband's ancestry goes back to Vikings so we just had to buy it! It even has blonde, curly hair like my husband!

A Viking nutcracker. Never seen one of those yet. Thanks for sharing that Rasha. Sorry. I got sidetracked by Fall coming up. I really need to do my Christmas cards now though. But, the Nutcracker is always at the back of my mind....

So, here I am thinking of nutcrackers again! And I've still not come up with how to make them!

Any new ideas folks?

Well, I've been trying my hand at whittling, so maybe I'll try to whittle one.

That would be alot of whittling!

I think I'm going to play around with making some cards with nutcrackers on them. Might cut them out so they can hang on the tree. I've always liked them.

Those are all nice Rose! Thank you. I think I might just try my hand at doing it with fabric and card paper.
