Herb garden kits need several days of preparation. Kids, well before Mothers Day, ask your dad or another adult to take you to a plant nursery to purchase the required items.

Kids should pay for these items from money earned or saved up from their allowance. It makes a better gift when you have paid for it yourself. Or, better yet, if you have the time, plant herb seeds in paper cups and sprout them yourself.
