Origami - Paper folding fun!

I've always enjoyed Origami. The crane with the flapping wings never fails to entertain little ones. I've also memorized flowers, frogs, boxes and others.
I found this site that has free instructions.

There are many more, of course, (google 'origami') but this lady also has coloring pages to print and other fun things for kids.
Remember, true Origami starts with a square, and is not cut.
Arts and Craft supply stores have multi-colored packs of Origami paper.

Ooh, those printables are lovely! I work in a Japanese kindergarten so most of my origami is done with old flyers and brochures on rainy lunchtimes - thanks for the link, I'll have to print a few of these off to keep in my desk!
Another thing that is much in demand by the kids is paper sticks - you just roll up a big flyer or sheet of newspaper tight as you can, on a diagonal, and stick the corner with a bit of tape. It's amazing how much entertainment they get out of something so simple!
