Default Simple Cellophane Tealights

Is it called cellophane in the US? I mean the coloured transparent film used for wrapping gifts. Here I have used cellophane and PVA to cover some cheap glasses I found at the op shop (are they called 'op shops' over there?! - I mean the second hand stores run by charity groups...). See my blog for full instructions.

I'm in Canada, not the US, but cellophane works for me. Or "Basket wrap", but I don't know if that is just me...
I've never heard the term "op-shop", but it sounds like the same thing I call a thrift store. What is the "op" short for?

I like the idea of this craft, I'm going to have to go read about it now.

That's nice. A simple and easy project for preschoolers. We would try this. Thanks for sharing!

I've done the same thing with glass baby food jars and colored tissue paper. Using just plain watered down white school glue. Brush on the glue and stick on the squares of tissue paper. Sometimes we would put another layer of glue on - just to catch any corners. They work for candles or for flower vases (for mother's day projects).

I received two of those many, many years ago, gremlin! Except they were beer-bottle-vases.
