Here's one I learned when I was a kid.
You need at least 3 people.
To make this easier to explain, I'm going to use the names Jed, Ed and Fred.
You will need to lay 10 cards on the table in the pattern shown on the #10 card.
In the top right hand corner you will have a #10 card. It doesn't matter what suit you use.
Jed and Fred know how the trick works.
Ed doesn't.
Fred says,
"Ed, come here. I want to show you a trick. Jed is going to go in the other room and close the door. While he's gone, you're going to point at one of these cards. When Jed comes back, he's going to tell you which card you chose."
Fred then tells Jed,
"Go in the other room and don't peek."
Ed points at the 4 of clubs (♣).
Fred tells Jed to come back in the room and says,
"I'm going to touch each one of these cards and then you have to tell us which card Ed chose."
Fred begins by placing his finger on the 9 of hearts (♥) and then gently touches all of the cards one after another.
Here's the trick. When Fred touches the #10 card, he specifically touches it on the icon that represents the card that Jed touched. Doing this shows Jed which card Ed picked.
Jed pretends that he's not sure which card it is, but picks the correct card.
(let me know if something doesn't make sense or could be explained in a simpler way for kids to understand)
