After finishing my afghan, I wanted to get back to knitting the sweater for my son, Christopher. It Took a little while to get back into the swing of things and remember how the pattern went, but now things are moving along nicely. I have the back almost finished!!!

Earlier this year my bestie asked me to knit an afghan for her sister's birthday. Sis loves NKOTBSB and that is the one I made for her. Even though she asked in the spring, I didn't actually start knitting until August as her birthday was in September. I finished knitting on Monday and its taken me the last few days to darn in all the ends. I am quite happy at how it turned out.

P.S. I get lots of design help from Hubs. He is able to take just about any picture and turn it...

So a few days ago I started knitting a aran cable knit sweater for my son, Christopher. I had a pattern but it was for a much smaller sweater and I thought I could adjust the pattern but after knitting a third of the way up the back I realized that the pattern just wouldn't work and had to go back to the drawing board. So today I went back through my patterns and found another one that would work. I will post pictures when I get further along.

After a few weeks away from crafting, yesterday I sorted through my yarn bins and discovered that I had enough chocolate brown aran yarn to knit a sweater for my son. I got a pattern but its for a smaller sized sweater than I needed so I am having to adjust the pattern to work with a larger size.

Once I get it done, I will post pictures.

Here are pictures of two of the other NASCAR afghans that I have knit. The Tony Stewart number 20 was for my son and the Ryan Newman number 12 was for a friend of mine.

Even though I knit them over five years ago, my son still loves his and sleeps with it every night. The only problem he has is that Tony Stewart is now in the 14 car and would like to have a new afghan for Tony's new number. I will probably put it on my project list for the fall.
