I cannot find where to join this group. I would like to do so. I just joined craftforum and will have a profile posted by the end of the weekend - hopefully sooner. I do not done anything so grand as the pictures you posted but I do try to recycle what I can into a craft. Do finding old chairs chewed up by dogs with broken springs count if you fix it? I have one awaiting fixing - a rocking chair.

I hope all is well, but having your friend send me a message worked for getting us to look at the issue. Keep us updated if anything else goes awry!

Did you ever post a picture of your ceiling icicles or did I miss it? You know we're all looking forward to seeing your Christmas decorations.

    Hi Keeo-
here is the tutorial I use... http://freshlypicked.blogspot.com/20...-tutorial.html

For the skirt, I just cut the pillowcase to the length I wanted it, leaving enough for a 1 inch top hem (so 1.5 inches longer than I want the skirt to be). Since it was going to be see through, I took the top half of the pillowcase, and cut the top seam off, hemmed one edge and sewed it to the top edge of the "skirt" piece, then I folded both hems down 1/2 half inche and ironed them, then folded it again the 1 inch, and sewed around leaving a hole to insert elastic- the elastic is the waist plus 1/2 inch. insert the elastic and sew it to itself, then sew the skirt shut (hope that makes sense)

the concept is similar to this but you start with it already hemmed and in a circle.

Be happy to offer any other help you might need-
